You are Here!
Everything that has happened to you has led you here. And I am grateful that you made it - hopeful that the journey that you are about to embark is one that is transformational and life changing.
Individual Therapy
Whether you’re coping with emotional wounds or feeling stuck in habitual patterns, individual therapy may help you navigate to a better place in your life. The process of therapy has the potential to deepen your awareness of how your emotional wounds inhibits your ability to live freely, authentically, and with an open heart. It provides the opportunity to breakthrough and heal limiting beliefs and past wounds that keep you feeling stuck and discontent. In our work together, I will assist you in identifying the problematic thought patterns and core beliefs as well as the corresponding behavior responses that hinders you from reaching your goals and aspirations.
Couples Therapy
Every couple experiences conflict; it is actually a healthy aspect of any relationship. The issue, however, is how couples engage and resolve conflicts, which cannot only be problematic, but reflective of deeper issues troubling the relationship. In my work with couples, the interpersonal dynamics are explored and the impediments to intimacy and connection are identified. By implementing the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach, I assist couples with identifying core issues of disagreements and address barriers that keeps them wounded and stuck - coaching new skills of communication and solutions to repair old wounds and re-establish a sense of connectedness, fondness, admiration, and intimacy.
EMDR
While life can have its challenges, there is hope! My goal is to help you thrive and live the best life you seek. One of the ways that I assist my clients through this is by using research-based modalities such as EMDR therapy. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR therapy has been extensively researched and has demonstrated effectiveness for trauma. While many times traumatic experiences can be managed and resolved spontaneously, they may not be processed without help. Stress responses are part of our natural fight, flight, or freeze instincts. When distress from a disturbing event remains, the upsetting images, thoughts, and emotions may create feelings of overwhelm, of being back in that moment, or of being “frozen in time.” EMDR therapy helps the brain process these memories and allows normal healing to resume. The experience is still remembered, but the fight, flight, or freeze response from the original event is resolved.
You are Worthy of Investing in Yourself
Therapy is definitely an investment of time, energy and money. My fee is $225 for individuals and $300 for couples per 50 min session. Sessions can occur weekly or every two weeks depending on your needs and goals.
I reserve your appointment time just for you. By carefully limiting the number of clients I choose to work with at any given time, it allows me to serve you best. As a therapist it’s essential to live what I teach my clients. I do quite a bit of behind the scenes work outside of our therapy sessions so I may serve you better, including reading, learning, gathering resources and preparing for our time together.
Cancellation policy: You will be charged the full fee for canceled or rescheduled sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice. In the event of an unavoidable conflict or emergency we may be able to make other arrangement to avoid the cancelation fee.
Good Faith Estimate Notice: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Payment: Payment is acceptable by cash, check and credit card. Please contact us if you have any questions about fees. I am paneled with Optum United Health and Cigna Insurance, however, space is limited. If your insurance covers ‘out-of-network providers’ (typically PPO insurance plans), I will provide you with a monthly statement (called a Superbill) which you may then submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

During the first few sessions, we will talk about the struggles that bring you to therapy, your history, and define your goals. As a therapist, I have a real-life, practical, and straightforward approach. This means I will be actively involved in our sessions, helping you to achieve your goals.

How long you will be in therapy depends on your needs. The research suggests that most therapy clients feel improvement in 12 - 15 sessions and I would expect the same for us. Some clients feel better enough that they graduate within that time. Others find that they enjoy the process of therapy and want to continue as their lives change and evolve. My goal is to help you meet your goals as soon as possible. As long as counseling continues to be helpful, I’ll be here to support you.
The length of time we’ll spend together will depend on your needs as a couple. Some couples come in to address a specific issue while others find that they stay with me for a while as their lives evolve and circumstances change.
